Boxed DURST RS35 Half-Frame Enlarger & Schneider 35mm Componon

• A classic film enlarger from Durst, for 1/2 Frame 35mm format, complete with appropriate 35mm Schneider Componon lens
• The RS35 / ‘Newporter’ was sold as an easily portable enlarger for newspaper reporters to take on location, I believe an alternate negative mask for 24x36mm was also available
• This compact enlarger is in it’s original polystyrene ‘box’ of just 38x38x15cm!
• This shows some light external corrosion in parts of no consequence to use or performance
• I have fully cleaned the condensers, mirror and other parts of the enlarger pertinent to its quality of operation
• The wiring is checked and is good to use, no faults. The cable comes with an ‘in-line’ switch and a new mains plug for 3-pin (earthed) UK use
• The column is just 50cm high, and the baseboard is 36x36cm
• Negative carrier is Half Frame 24x18mm, in excellent condition
• A drawer above the negative carrier allows 70x70mm filters to be used. Ilford Multigrade filters for modern B&W printing paper would be the obvious choice
• Comes with the genuine Durst red filter, which can swing into position
• Comes with a boxed Schneider Componon 35mm f/4 lens, a rare and desirable piece used by many keen macro photographers
• Optics are clean and clear, no scratches, haze or fungus.
• Comes with a 75w (mains voltage) lamp, ES27 fit, in excellent condition
