- Lens is in very good condition
- This is from the legendary British firm of Dallmeyer, being a late example of their superior range of enlarging lenses; the ‘De Luxe’ lenses.
- Likely dating to the early-mid 1960s
- It is a coated lens, as it bears the initials, DC, standing for ‘DallCoated’
- 7″ focal length, equivalent to 178mm, ensuring sharp coverage of 5×4″ / 4×5″ and likely possible on Half Plate (4 1/4 x 6 1/2″)
- Optics are clean and clear
- The lens presents no scratches, no haze and no fungus
- Coating deterioration marks are apparent, most obviously on the rear element, I have tried to show these
- Apertures working well with click stops, starting at f/5.6 and then stopping down (with click stops) through 4 further stops
- Rear mounting thread is likely an Imperial size of 2″ (and registers as 50.3mm) screw mount
- Comes with free insured shipping included in the UK
