s/n – 1200118
- Good cosmetic condition for its age, but not perfect, certainly a collector’s item
- Likely the 118th made
- 4 elements in 3 groups (apparently), announced in 1958, sold from 1959
- For Minolta SLR film cameras, could be adapted to digital with the correct adapter
- Tested and working, focus works via rack & pinion, extending the rear tube, down to 12m. There is a delightful scale, through a window. to read off the distance set
- The aperture works well / smoothly, down to f/45
- This is a Pre-Set lens, it does not provide an automatic diaphragm. The two rings allow you to pre-set the aperture you wish to use and then open up for focusing before stopping down to take the photo
- Obvious signs of use on the body of the lens
- Optics are in good (not perfect) condition, front of front element is clean and shows coating, interior shows small fungus spots. No scratches
- It does look as if someone has tried to get into the front cell (unsuccessfully) to clean the optics
- Some light dust which is normal
- Comes as shown with cap, hood, a hand grip(!!), another mount & a 126mm UV filter!
- Camera shown for scale, not included
- VERY heavy, over 5kg, postage will be substantial overseas, please ask for a personal quote
